The last thing He did before He was captured, willingly going to His death:

He Prayed.

Not My Will (If at all possible let this cup pass from me)

Not My Will (If there is no other way)

Not My Will, But Yours Be Done

His Choice Sealed My Eternity. His Yes, I will obey, even to deather on a cross.

Even though…His own people called for His death. Even His own dear friends and co-workers denied and abandoned Him…

Not My Will He declared!

He was questioned, accursed, beaten, made fun of, chosen to die like a criminal, the worst of the worst.

He became sin to FREE me, free us.

So why do I choose bondage when freedom was already won on the cross? Freedom is already mine for the taking? Why?

The last action before He was arrested to go to the Cross – physical death – Jesus prayed.
